My last visit to Kuala Lumpur was in Apr 06. Since now the budget flight started the direct flight to KL, thus decided to have a break there over the weekend.
The trip was started with more than an hour delay departing from Changi Airport due to in bound plane was late........ Airasia seen to have this problem quite frequent...... (still can recall that I did had my flight from KL to Senai delayed for more than 1 hour and I have to travel from Senai to JB custom via taxi due to the late nite hour). By then, when we checked in the hotel, it already late afternoon...... We had a very very late lunch at the restaurant opposite the hotel we stayed.........or I should said we had an afternoon tea......
I had the 叉烧云吞面........ The noodle is served in Kuala Lumpur style, with black soya sauce .... it was so nice..... and among the three noodle dishes.... this was the best one. And I also bought the 牛利酥,咸煎饼(the one with slightly sweeten sticky/glutinous rice in the center. Hardly found this in Sg, the only stall in Sg that I I know selling this was in Chinatown hawker center but after the renovation, nowhere to found) from a stall outside the restaurant....... This stall had been there since my first visit to Kuala Lumpur about 19 years ago..........
After the late lunch, we went shopping at Sungei Wang Plaza till late in the nite....... went to Jalan Alor to have late dinner cum supper................
We had my favorite Fried Oyster 蚝煎.......... we chatted with friends till late in the nite........
Next day morning, after check out from the hotel...... we straight headed to Imbi Palace, a restaurant that recommended by a friend. Managed to find the place with a map and it's is located near to the place where famous for 肉骨茶. Ordered few dishes of Dim Sum and porridge........ And their signature dish......... 金牌烧肉.
Would said the 烧肉 and the porridge are the best among the dishes that we ordered. As for dim sum, would said average....... I missed the dim sum at 海外天 Overseas (formally located in Central Market) ........
After the dim sum tunch, we took a cab to 天后宫....... the first cab wanted to charge us RM15 which we rejected....... immediately we hopped to the next cab. The cabbie used and the journey just cost us RM6.......
This was my first visit to 天后宫 despite I had been to Kuala Lumpur for so many times......
The place was not as grand which I was expecting but still OK........Walked around the compound from 大殿 to 灵龟池 and the souvenir stalls.......... We found a food court next the souvenir stall....... A strange thing, some stalls is selling meat staff...... Isn't they should be selling vegetarian food in a temple???????
Another fun thing that I discovered is that the temple is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified.
Before we make our way to the airport, we drop by 茨厂街 (KL Chinatown). The covered passage was completed (my last visit, they are still in the midst of construction). Some stalls had gone and others remained. Many stalls are selling the “branded” bags.............
The famous 罗汉果水 stall still at the same location, however, they no longer serving with the metal bowl, instead they are now using the plastic cup....... Non environmental friendly....... We still buy the drinks as it is so nice...............
As we just had a heavy dim sum tunch, we can only passed by冠记 and 金莲记 without going in to eat the 云吞面 and 福建面.........过门而不入 aiiiiiiiii
金莲记生意做大了.... Now the shop is two story liao.......
After that, a quick shopping in the Central Market and then headed to LCCT.
We had our dinner in Old Town Café at LCCT, food was OK except that there were fly flying around our seat.
Ohhh No............ The returned flight delayed again............

yes, the oyster omelette is very good. The roasted pork the dim sum plac looks fabulously inviting. KL has its flavour like Bangkok has its uniqueness for revisting the cities.
